Theatres to Reopen with 50% Capacity from October 15

After a long wait, finally the theatres will be reopen from 15th October.

With unlock 5.0, centre has given nod to reopen theatres and multiplexes with 50% sittings.

Cinemas, theatres, and multiplexes to be reopened and will have to operate “with up to 50 percent seating capacity”, for which separate guidelines will be issued, said the government.

With this announcement, the shares of PVR, Inox Leisure jump to 13%.

PVR traded 12.65 percent higher at Rs 1,366 at around 9.33 am (IST), while Inox Leisure was up 12.48 percent at Rs 304. On the other hand, the benchmark BSE Sensex traded 1.19 percent higher at 38,520 at around the same time.

As per the government, it will ask the respective schools and institution management after 15th October. However, the research scholars and postgraduate students of the science and technology stream are now allowed to use equipment in laboratories.

Also, the swimming pools are allowed to reopen but only for the sport-persons.
