Coronavirus Recoveries Outnumbered Total Cases

According to the health ministry, the coronavirus tally in India crossed the 66-lakh mark with a spike of 74,442 new cases and 903 deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

Total case tally stands at 66,23,816 including 9,34,427 active cases, 55,86,704 cured/discharged/migrated cases and 1,02,685 deaths, union health ministry data showed.

55,86,703 people in the country have recovered since the beginning of the pandemic and the overall recovery rate has reached 84.3 percent.

Maharashtra is India’s worst COVID-19-affected state, added 12,548 new cases which leads to the total number of infected people reaching 14.43 lakh.

India conducted 9,89,860 tests on Sunday, taking total coronavirus tests in India to 7,99,82,394.

Also, India is the second worst Corona hit country after the United States. The global coronavirus infections have soared the past 3.51 crore.
