Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won the IPL match with Rajasthan Royals (RR) in an entertaining match on Saturday evening.
AB de Villiers smashed an unbeaten 55 off 22 balls after skipper Virat Kohli scored 32-ball 43 as RCB chased down the target, scoring 179 for three in 19.4 overs.
The game was slipping away from RCB, with 35 needed off the final two overs. And then we saw it again. The magic of AB de Villiers. It took him three balls to flip the game on its head, smashing a hat-trick of sixes off Jaydev Unadkat who didn’t have answers to the greatness in front of him.
The player of the match AB de Villiers was happy and Kohli gave him a big hug after the win.
AB said, “Extremely happy. I’m proud of my performance. Want to perform for my team. I want to show owners I’m here for a good reason. Family watching, fans, all those things play a big part.
Never think about it like that. I try to stick to my gameplans. It’s a cat and mouse game. Honestly, I didn’t hit any one of them in the middle, but close enough to the middle. Luckily I got a couple over and made him nervous.
We’ve had some good games, have had some average games as well. Have had six really good games in this tournament so far. Plenty of reason to be positive.”
